Travel Trailers

When we talk about the traditional travel trailer, we’re thinking of larger, ‘hard shell’ trailers that tend to act more like a house on wheels than a camper. These trailers can range in size from 15′ to 45,’ and rage in price from about $10,000 to $100,000. Traditional travel trailers might be best suited for longer term travelers who are going to spend several days to several months in their trailer. A person who buys one of these larger trailers isn’t looking to rough it – they want to take some of their creature comforts on the road with them.

Camping Trailers

Your typical camping trailer is intended for the weekend warrior; a person looking to take off on a Friday afternoon and be back to work on Monday. Camping trailers tend to be smaller and cheaper than their larger cousins, but they’re still a great time. Camping trailers can be anything from very small tent trailers (which are essentially a four-person tent you can tow behind your car), all the way to hybrid trailers which are mostly hard-shell traditional trailers, but also have some fold-out sections based on typical tent or ‘pop-up trailers.’

Tent Trailers

Usually known as ‘pop-up’ or ‘folding’ trailers, tent trailers are some of the most affordable and compact travel trailers on the market. These campers are fantastic for families to take to a campground in the mountains, where they can enjoy the feeling of roughing it without having to actually sleep on the ground.
